Vintage "Lawsuit" era Takamine F307S-F acoustic guitar, made in Japan, with a date stamp of May 30, 1978. Featuring a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides, this guitar has a compact 00-style body that produces a balanced, focused tone that's excellent for fingerstyle playing or light strumming.
Playability & Neck Condition: The guitar plays very well up and down the entire fretboard. The neck is straight, the truss rod functions properly and turns in both directions, and the action is comfortable. The neck has never been reset and does not need a neck reset. There is zero fret wear. The guitar plays cleanly throughout the fretboard and is ready to be enjoyed as it sits.
Cosmetic Condition & Repairs: The guitar displays minor cosmetic wear consistent with its vintage age, including small surface dings on the soundboard and light edge nicks. There is a visible center seam on the soundboard that is stable and appears to have received repair attention in the past. This does not affect the guitar's current playability. It appears as though this guitar was played sparingly, then tucked away for decades waiting for its next caretaker, which is hopefully you!
Overall: This is a wonderful vintage Japanese-made Takamine from 1978 that plays great and delivers the warm, balanced tone these older instruments are known for. If you're looking for a vintage acoustic that's comfortable to play, sounds excellent, and doesn't require a neck reset or major work to enjoy, this is a great example.
Whoever ends up with this guitar will be very happy they did.
